Salt Spring — Lower Bear Rear Reservoir 15/34.5kV Overhead Transmission Project, CA

This project included the construction of 115kV and 34.5kV transmission and distribution lines as well as the removal of an existing 12kV line. Wilson crews worked near Kirkwood, California, from Salt Springs Substation to Lower Bear Reservoir. Crew members were tasked with working around environmentally sensitive habitats home to the peregrine falcon, spotted owl, and nearly-extinct Sierra Nevada yellow-legged frog.

Wilson utilized a company-owned MD 500 helicopter to aid in the successful completion of the project in both micropile foundation and line work.
